So Marci (wife), Tugboat (wiener dog), and I packed up every thing we own into a much-to-big bright yellow Penske truck. It is a bit to big, but every time we have moved in the past, we sardined everything into a tiny space, parting with some-times precious objects, simply because they did not fit into the car. This time, we could have lived in the back of the truck, plus hauled our stuff around. In honesty, it is about twice as big as it should be.
We are at the Mississippi now and have been driving for two days, going from Seattle, to Kalamazoo (to visit friends and family) then to Providence. We are planning on rolling into Rhode Island on September 1st.
Seattle had been a great place for us. We said good bye to many people that we loved and a city that treated us surprisingly well. Providence has a tough act to follow.
