Artist Statement
My current work is concerned with using logic-based systems to create and explore intersections of digital and physical culture using Language and Mapping as methods of inspection. Both Language and Mapping are abstract frameworks used to express and understand complex ideas. It is through Language that we put meaning to otherwise indecipherable thoughts and Mapping enables us to gain a birds-eye perspective on the terra incognita of geographical and conceptual territories. Through the information and resources provided via the Internet a new type of collective consciousness is formed. My work is applying these methods of inquiry to analyze it and explore how all of the elements are so delicately interconnected.
